Projects at Nansen Scientific Society

  • Supported 30 students and junior scientists with Nansen Fellowships of which 11 have obtained their doctoral degrees at the Arctic and Antartic Research Institute/Nansen Center in St.Petersburg and St.Petersburg University, Russia-Nansen-Zhu Center at the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Science and Peking University, both Beijing, China-Anna University, Chennai, India and at the Nansen-Tutu Center in Cape Town, South Africa and at the Geophysical Institue, University of Bergen/Nansen Center in Bergen. Several Master students have also obtained their degrees.
  • 30 scientific publications in international journals have been published during the period 2007 2014 in cooperation with Ph. D students and scientists in the Nansen Group
  • The Nansen Scientfic Society has also been co-organisator and supporter of several summer schools and workshops in Svalbard, Norway, China, South Africa, India,
